If you are not too sure what video card is inside your computer here is a quick way to find out. We will go into the Device Manager to see which video card is inside the PC.
Checking Video Card for Windows XP
- Right click on “My Computers” on your Desktop
- Scroll down and select “Properties”
- Select the “Hardware” tab
- Click the “Device Manager” button
- Click on the little plus ( + ) sign next to “Display Adapter”
- Now you should see your current graphics card
Finding the Video Card in Windows Vista
- Click “Start” (Windows logo)
- Select the “Control Panel”
- Click on “System and Maintenance”
- Choose “System”
- Select “Device Manager”
- Click on the “+” symbol beside the Display Adapters, you should now see your video card
