“What is the difference between a netbook and a laptop? I am ready to purchase but would like to know the difference other than price. Which is better?”
The question “which is better” really depends on what you’ll be using it for. Netbooks are great if all you want to do is browse online, check emails and maybe watch some videos. Netbooks are good for very basic needs. If you don’t need to use heavy resource programs like Photoshop or any kind of video editing tools you probably could get away with just buying a netbook.
The main differences between a netbook and a laptop are mostly in hardware. Netbooks have smaller screens, usually 10 inches or less, less ram, less hard drive space, less powerful CPU, smaller keyboard and most likely no CD/DVD drive.
Netbooks generally have very good battery life, better than most standard laptops. Netbook batteries can last anywhere between 6-14 hours depending on the make and model.
