What are gibs in Black Ops 2 Zombies

“I was checking out the Zombies Leaderboards and noticed something called Gibs. What are Gibs in Black Ops 2 Zombies?”

Gibs are zombie parts you shoot or blast off during your zombie masacre. When you’re shooting a zombie and the arm comes flying off that would count as a “Gib”.

If you want to rank up quickly for ‘Gibbing’ try using more grenades or explosive type weapons such as the Pistol with Pack-a-Punch (aka Mustang and Sally).

    Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012) Gibs are a statistic that can be seen on the leaderboards. Common tactics on achieving Gibs vary from the old fashion spray and pray methods, to demolition antics. A map mechanic of lava was incorporated in the zombie franchise, assisting in the creation of gibs. Lava causes zombies to catch ablaze. Incinerated zombies befallen by a headshot will explode creating a giblet Smörgåsbord. Exploding Zombies in a herd will cause surrounding zombies to offer more gibs to your leaderboard stats.

    @cody BEWARE, its alot to read lol but the reason the k/d ratio is so high in zombies is because if you’re an average person at zombies, you will get alot more kills than deaths in one game. let me say it this way, the ratio on multiplayer is 1-1 meaning to go positive you need at least 1 kill to every death you have. on zombies it has to be different because if the ratio was 1-1 everyone would have a really high k/d ratio. like lets say multiplayer you went 10-0 for the whole game, that means your overall k/d would be 10.00. now in zombies lets say you’re on round 15 and you have about 400 kills and 0 downs. if the ratio in zombies was 1-1 then your overall k/d would be 400.00. you see what i mean? your k/d would be huge. but if the k/d ratio was 250-1 then your over overall k/d would be 1.6 because you divided 400 by 250 instead of 1

    Hey guys, wanted to correct a few things about the k/d ratio. Where the k/d ratio is crucial to leveling up (probably the most important aspect) it is not the only data used to determine whether or not one should move up a rank. Besides other statistics like head shots, gibs, doors, miles, etc – there are a few more things to consider that impacts the ranking system. Your average round capacity is one thing (or about how long you last each game). Also your accuracy, which is nearly as important as the k/d ratio. The idea that you need 250/1 for a k/d ratio to level up is also incorrect. I’ve seen players with the skull and shotguns emblem with a k/d ratio as low as 150/1. I guess it’s safe to say that no one really knows for sure how the gears grind as far as the zombie’s ranking system goes. But one thing is for sure: play your best and if you are a good enough player, you will level up.

P.s. im heading for top rank! im Skull and knife haha just got into Call of duty and im 3 ranks to go Just had a round 1637 kills 482 headshots 1 down and 7 revives!! trying my hardest to rank up I love playing I enjoy zombies im very good I always revive if you want to play some zombies like Buried I like that! im on Ps3 Psn is CaIeb350z I did a capital I in my name because it looks like a L and its hard for people to find me because im big on youtube..     The way to rank up is get good at the game, if you have a k/d of 250-0/1, then you rank will be at the highest it can get (shotguns, blue eyes and barbed wire), if you have played enough to not be able to calculate how many kills to downs you have, use a calculator (e.g. My k/d would be calculated through, 144292 kills/2047 downs=..) if you have over 15,000 kills, either make a new profile, or try forever to achieve nothing.     gibs is= Got Injured But Survived……………its when zombie hits you ! try it , count your gibs then play and get hit twice then count …itll b 2 higher

    I can’t be trusted alone with the mustang and Sally (primarily because in trying to be “Tallahassee” from “Zombieland” I end up blowing myself up XD (true story)
