I use Nod32 and it keeps detecting this Virtumonde virus every hour or so but doesn’t remove it. My computer has slowed down considerably, and everything seems to be lagging even when I type sometimes keys don’t show up. Is there a virtumonde removal program somewhere? This is starting to get really annoying please help.
There are two really good ways of removing Virtumonde, and they both can be found here at BleepingComputuer. There’s detailed instructions and tools for removing Virtumonde. The first one is called Vundo Fix and the second one is called VirtumundoBegone. Try the first one, and if that doesn’t work try the second one.
After you finish removing Virtumonde it would be a good idea to install a good anti-spyware program like SuperAntiSpywware.
I tried downloading virtumondebegone.exe but was quarantined by nod32! Probably another scam… I just used nod32 custom scan win32 folder and reboot.. I did this cycle thrice and not a trace of virtumonde on my fourth scan
