I own a MacBook and I accidentally deleted my “Pictures” folder with all of my pictures, is there a way to recover that Pictures folder with all my pictures?
You will need a un-erase program to recover those pictures and for the Mac there’s one called TechTool Pro from Micromat. It’s not cheap at 98 bucks but if those photos mean anything to you than the price should not be a big issue. I couldn’t find a link for a free trial either.
By erasing the data or emptying the trash doesn’t mean your data is lost forever, the data is still there. It’s just that the table of contents has been modified and that tells the computer that other data can be written over this erased data. So it’s very important you do nothing on the computer until you recover those pictures.
When you get a copy of TechTool Pro put the CD in the drive and boot from the CD instead of installing on the drive which can overwrite your erased data. Good luck.
