By default the Playstation 4 Parental Control password is ‘0000’ which is the ‘Square’ button on the PS4 controller.
Parental Controls on the PS4 allows parents/guardians to restrict access to certain features. The parental control settings can be found by going to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Parental Controls’ -> ‘Restrict Use of PS4 Features’.
From the Restrict Use of PS4 Features page you can control access to Applications, Blu-ray Disc, DVD and Internet Browser.
We bought a ps4 that looks like parental controls have already been set. This ps4 could have been returned back to the store. It appears to have a parental setup already. Can we reset the unit somehow?
try picking up your ps4 and dropping it from a distance of 3 or 4 feet robin sometimes this will allow the system to work the way it should. ive tried this method on most of my devices when something doesnt work the way i want it to. if that seems to not reset your ps4 try dipping it in the bathtub for a good wash and cleaning this may solve your password issue although im not entirely sure

When I entered the rong parental control password it didn’t give me the choice to reset the parental control password.
