PS4 – Error Code CE-30012-6

“When I try to play a game sometimes my PS4 gives me the error code CE-30012-6. What does the error code mean?”

Sony calls this an ‘internal error’. Here is what Sony PlayStation recommends you do:

1. Make sure your PS4 is up-to-date with the latest firmware. You can do that by going to Settings and scroll down to ‘System Software Update’.

2. The game you’re trying to play may be damaged and causing the PS4 to trigger the CE-30012-6 error message. Check to see if the game disc is clean and free of any type of scratches or damage.

3. The last thing to try is simply restarting the PS4.
