Your PS4 is steaming mad. Mad because it has overheated. Whenever you see the PS4 light turn to pulsing red it’s most likely running too hot.
Next time your PS4 starts blinking red turn it off. Let it cool completely and try again later. While it’s busy cooling, figure out why it may be overheating.
Tips for keeping your PS4 cooler:
- Do not run it on carpet
- Do not keep it in enclosed spaces such as closed media centers
- Do not place it directly on top or underneath another electronic device such as DVD player or Xbox console
- Move your PS4 to a nice open area with plenty of room for ventilation
- Some users reported great results when they placed their PS4 upright instead of laying flat
