“I recently downloaded a TV series and i sent it to a jump drive, but when i try to play those videos on another computer it wont play. All it plays is the audio. I have tried Windows Media Player, Quick Time player, and Window Media Center, neither work. On the other computer the videos work. what do I do? Or is it that when i copied the videos to the jump drive that it only copied the audio?”
Usually when you hear just the audio from a video file it means the media player doesn’t support the “codec” from your video. The fact that the video file works fine on another computer means the video is not corrupted or a partial file because you said it works on your other computer.
First option is to download VLC Media Player, it’s a media player that plays just about every single video file format known to mankind.
Second option is to get a codec package and install it on your computer so Windows Media Player or QuickTime can playback the videos. I recommend download a codec package from here http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm. The “Basic” download should be enough to playback your video.
