“How do I get Google on the Nintendo Switch? Does the Switch have a internet browser?”
The Nintendo Switch for whatever reason has no official web browser to get online. Today I’ll show you how to get this hidden top secret (not really) web browser so you can do searches on Google and do whatever it is you need to do online using a web browser.
1. Starting from the Nintendo Switch home screen, go to ‘System Settings’.
2. Scroll down to ‘Internet’ and hit the ‘A’ button.
3. Select ‘Internet Settings’ and press A.
4. Select the Network you’ve been using.
5. Go to ‘Change Settings’.
6. On this screen scroll down to ‘DNS Settings’. By default it should be set to Automatic but we are going to change that in the next step.
7. Select ‘Manual’.
8. Go down to ‘Primary DNS’.
9. Enter these series of numbers ‘045.055.142.122′. Select ‘OK’ or press the ‘+’ button on your Switch controller.
10. Press the ‘Save’ icon to saving your new DNS settings.
11. Select ‘Connect to This Network’. Give it a few seconds while the Nintendo Switch tries to connect to the new network.
12. A dialog box should appear saying ‘Registration is required to use this network’. Press ‘Next’ to proceed.
If you’ve done everything correctly you should see ‘Welcome to the SwitchBru DNS!’.
Select ‘Continue to Google’ to start browsing the internet from the Nintendo Switch.
Remember to Change DNS Settings back to Manual:
When you are done surfing the world wide web from the Switch you’ll want to switch your DNS setting back to Automatic.
From the Switch home screen Go to ‘System Settings’ -> ‘Internet’ -> ‘Internet Settings’.
Select the internet connection you’ve been using.
Go to ‘Change Settings’ -> ‘DNS Settings’ -> ‘Automatic’ -> ‘Save’.
