“How do I make my Nexus 7 battery last longer?”
Here are a few tips to extend your Nexus 7 battery life:
1. Turn off things you don’t need. Things like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or GPS can be turned off if you are not using them. To turn off GPS go to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Personal’ -> ‘Location services’.
2. Turn down the brightness on your screen, ‘Settings’-> ‘Device’ -> ‘Display’.
3. Don’t leave Navigation or Maps applications on the screen if you don’t need them. Those kind of apps uses GPS which draws a lot of power.
4. Shorten the Sleep timeout for the screen.
5. Turn off automatic syncing for all apps. Go to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Accounts’ -> ‘Google account name’. If you do turn off automatic syncing you will need to manually sync to get your email, messages, notifications and other recent info.
6. Switch to Airplane mode if you are not close to Wi-Fi or mobile network. ‘Settings’ -> ‘Wireless & Networks’ -> ‘More’ -> ‘Airplane mode’.
7. Check which apps are drawing a lot of power by going to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Device’ -> ‘Battery’. At the bottom of the screen you should see a list of battery usage for each app. Tap a graph to view more details, you may be able to adjust some power settings, or completely stop an app from running.
