“I have two programs that start up every time I restart my Mac, programs I don’t need. How do I remove or stop them from starting up?”
How to stop programs from automatically starting on the Mac:
1. Click on the little Apple logo located at the top-left corner of your screen.
2. Select ‘System Preferences’ from the list of options.
3. Click on ‘Accounts’, you can find it under System.
4. Now we are in the ‘Accounts’ window, click on ‘Login Items’.
5. You will see a list of items. Check items you do not want to start up when you log in.
6. Now click on the ‘minus’ icon near the bottom. This will hide the program and prevent it from automatically launching.
7. Close the window when you are finished and restart your Mac to test out your new settings.
