What’s a good pick for a Netbook? a Lenovo S10-2 or a MSI Wind? Talking about value for money. Thanks!
I took a serious look at the two netbooks and I couldn’t find one thing to make one the better value. There are more MSI Wind models to choose from than there are Lenovo netbooks though and the prices for the Wind ranges anywhere from $320 to $390 depending on the model. You can even go cheaper if you choose a 3 cell battery model instead of the 6 cell battery models but your battery life won’t be as good.
Specs for MSI Wind (U100) – Cost $390
- 10-Inch screen
- 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 160 GB Hard Drive
- Winodws XP Home
- 6 Cell Battery
Specs for Lenovo S10-2 – Cost $350
- 10 inch screen
- 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor
- 1GB DDR2
- 160 GB Hard Drive
- Windows XP Home Edition
- 6 Cell Battery
The MSI Wind model I have here is 40 bucks more than the Lenovo S10-2 but there are similar MSI Wind netbooks for less than that. I chose this model because its one of the best selling netbooks on Amazon and gets really good reviews.
I would read the Amazon user reviews on both netbooks to see what people who bought them have to say about them. User comments are always useful when make a big purchase like this.
