I love the password manager that comes built into Firefox. It is very convenient and saves me a lot of time from entering passwords. But did you know that other people may be able to see your passwords in Firefox.
Open up Firefox and go to “Tools” then “Options” now select the “Security” tab on top of the menu. Click on “Show Passwords” this is where Firefox stores all the passwords and as you can see it’s very unsecured. Let’s configure Firefox to make our passwords secure from prying eyes.
In the same menu select “Use a master password”, now enter your password, hopefully something strong with random numbers and letters but something memorable. Hit “OK” when done. Now no one can view the stored passwords without your master password. You will also need the master password to auto fill passwords on websites.
