I have a black and white iPod click 20G and I can’t get it to work it has a iPod with a sad face i’ve reset it and don’t know if theres anything else i can do with it it was hardly used never had more than 300 songs on it-It’s hard to just throw it away any suggestions?
The sad face icon on your iPod could mean there’s a hardware issue but if you are able to get into Disk Mode than it may not be a hardware problem so give that a try.
Putting Scroll wheel iPods into Disk Mode:
- Make sure the iPod is charged
- Toggle the “Hold” switch ON then OFF again
- Press the “Menu” and “Select” buttons for about 6 seconds until you see the Apple logo
- When you see the Apple logo on the screen release the “Menu” and “Select” buttons right away and press and hold the “Select” and “Play/Pause” buttons and wait for the Disk Mode screen to appear.
And if that worked try updating and restoring your iPod with the latest software. You will lose everything on that iPod by restoring so hopefully you have it in your iTunes.
If that doesn’t work then it may be a good idea to bring it to a local Apple store for them to check it out and if it’s still under warranty they will usually replace it without to much hassle.
