“My iPad home button does not work. Is there a quick and easy way to fix my iPad home button?”
The easiest and quickest way to fix your iPad home button is replacing it using something built into the software. Inside the ‘Accessibility’ settings there is an option to put a virtual button on your screen. This is a fantastic quick fix for replacing your home screen on your iPad, iPhone or even the iPod.
How to fix iPad Home button (also works for iPhone and iPod):
1. Tap ‘Settings’.
2. In the left menu section tap on ‘General’.
3. Tap ‘Accessibility’
4. Under the Physical & Motor section select ‘AssistiveTouch’.
5. Tap the toggle to turn on AssistiveTouch.
Afterwards a digital button will appear on the screen. You can position this button anywhere along the sides, top or bottom of the screen. I like to move the button just above the physical Home button.
Now for the fun part, tap on the button to bring up the menu. Inside that button are more magical buttons including the ‘Home’ button. Other buttons include Favorites, Gestures, and Device.
This digital Home button acts just like the physical button on the iPad, iPhone or iPod. Tap it once to go to the Home screen and tap it twice to bring up the task manager.
