How to erase Instagram history:
Apple iOS users (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch):
1. Launch the Instagram app.
2. Tap the ‘Profile’ icon located at the bottom-right of your screen.
3. Tap the ‘Settings’ icon at the top-right corner.
4. Select ‘Clear Search History’ from the list of Options.
5. Confirm by selecting ‘Yes, I’m Sure’ button.
Android users – How to erase your search history:
To remove all your search history simply log out of your account from the app. Click ‘Profile’ icon, tap the 3 dots from the top-right corner, tap ‘Log out’.
I have an android phone. When i log out, it doesn’t clear my search history. Is there anything else i can do to clear the search history? Thanks

It has worked for my android in the past but now it is not clearing my history. Any further suggestions?
Android users…you can also unistall then reintall the app. Good luck
ATTENTION ANDROID USERS: to delete the search history:
1: exit app
2: delete app
3: download it again
4: resign in
5 search history is clear!

1) logout Instagram
2) Be sure it is not running in the background (kill it!)
3) open Settings…》Applications manager 》Instagram 》Clear data.
4) open Instagram and sign in again 》 search history cleared 🙂
Does clearing data on instagram delete your photos tho????

Go to your setting if you were going to manage your apps click on apps an find instagram an clear cache then log bak in an ready to go.
I just Googled on this and came across this forum. Actually, for Android phones you don’t have to log out. Simply go to your profile, click the three dots, select ‘Clear Search History’ and done. Pretty simple.

Why even i had do al those things, when i want to mention somebody they still remain ??
I cant clear my search list. I do everything. Click on clear search. Clear data. Uninstall the application. But my search list still there. Im fucked up right. Haha
How can i compeletly clear my source search history ? For example when i search f the last searches appear , i wanna delete them .
And i’ve done clear search history but they still stay
I have tried everything, including clearing cache and data, uninstall and reinstall Instagram, but there is still a list that shows from previous searches when putting in a letter. Galaxy S3. Any more ideas?

Just found this: “I had this problem, so follow these steps i used to fix it. Open instagram from a computer, then right click in the search bar, click inspect element, press on resources, go to cookies, open it then right click on instagram and press clear, then do the same for facebook. Should it have any effect on ur instagram account. Hope this was helpful”
this way doesn’t clear every thing like auto fill and pages
the only way to clear everything in android phone is to go this way:
open Application manager
open Inatagram
then start to clear everything
1. Clear defaults
2. Clear cache
3. Clear data
then uninstall Instagram and Install it again
now you have cleared very well
