This process doesn’t work to remove default apps like Facebook. I’d like to know how to remove these apps if anyone has any ideas.

Like Tom, I too want to know how to remove some of the pre-installed apps on my NexusOne. For example, the MP3 Store, Facebook, YouTube – I do not use these and I do not want them on my phone. These do not show up in the Manage Applications list. Anyone who can offer assistance? It is greatly appreciated…

You need root access to remove preinstalled google apps. If you do have root access to your phone, you can use tools like “Root Explorer” – Program can be downloaded from “Market”
