“How do I share a book on the Kindle?”
Some Kindle books can be loaned out for a period of 14 days. The person you lend it out to does not need to own a Kindle, he/she can use any of the free Kindle reading apps for iPad, Mac, PC, iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices.
Publishers or rights holder determine if titles are eligible for sharing. You can see if a book is eligible for sharing on the ‘Products Details’ page.
To view books you already own go to ‘Manage Your Kindle‘ and click the ‘+’ icon next to the book. If sharing is allowed, you’ll see ‘Loan this book’ from the list of options.
How to share books on the Kindle:
1. Go to ‘Manage Your Kindle‘.
2. Find the book you want to share from the list. Click on the little upside-down triangle to see if the book can be shared.
3. Click on ‘Loan this book’.
4. You will now fill out the borrower’s name and personal email address. Hit ‘Send now’ complete the process.
