How to save other people’s Instagram pictures

“I see lots of pictures that I really like on Instagram and I would like to save them on my smartphone. How do I save other user’s Instagram pictures?”

Currently there is no way to save other users photos directly from the Instagram app but you can take a screenshot from your phone and crop it.

How to save other people’s Instagram photos:

1. When you see a Instagram photo you like simply take a screenshot using your phone.

iPhone – Press Home button and the on/off button (top-right hand side) at the same time until you hear a shutter.

Android – Press and hold the Power button and the volume down button for about 1 second (This works if you’re using Android 4.0 or higher).

2. Now that you have the picture saved to your phone you can crop it to get rid of the background.

iPhone or iPod touch users

Exit out of Instagram and go to your ‘Photos’.

Tap on the Intagram picture and select ‘Edit’.

Tap on the ‘Crop’ button at the bottom-right corner to cut out the background.

Tap ‘Crop’ and ‘Save’ when finished.

Android users

Exit out of Instagram, tap on the ‘Gallery’ icon. Find the Instagram screenshot and tap on it.

Tap on three-dots Menu icon from the top-right corner and select ‘Crop’.

Drag and drop the dot’s to grab the image. Click ‘OK’ when complete. The cropped image can is located in your ‘Gallery’.
