So here’s what happened. I turned on my computer one day and noticed strange blue arrows in the upper right corner of my folders on my Windows 10 desktop. This is not something that I did manually. Windows did this automatically because I guess it thought I was running low on space (which was true).
If you don’t want your folders compressed just follow the instructions below.
Right-click on the folder you want to uncompressed.
Click on ‘Advanced’.
Uncheck ‘Compress contents to save space’ and click OK.
Now it’s going to ask if you want to apply the changes to everything inside that folder. Click OK to proceed.
You can do more than one folder at a time by holding the ‘Ctrl’ key on your keyboard and click on each folder. Than right-click on one of the highlighted folder and follow the steps I provided above.
