“How do I remove apps I’ve downloaded on the iPad mini?”
How to delete iPad mini applications:
1. Removing unwanted apps on the iPad mini is super easy. From the home screen, tap and hold on the app icon you wish to remove.
2. When the icon starts to wiggle and jiggle like a a bowl of jelly an ‘X’ should appear in the upper corner of the icon. Tap on the ‘X’ to remove the app from the iPad mini.
3. When you’re finished removing all unwanted apps press the ‘Home’ button to take the icons back to normal.
Removing apps also removes any data associated with the application. Apps you’ve purchased from the App Store can be downloaded again, free of charge. Built-in app apps cannot be removed.

I have just removed some apps that I downloaded onto my iPAD MINI and it worked just as he said. App wiggles and then an x appears on upper left. Beth you are not correct. Look at the top of this page to see the question..it says iPad Mini.

Goto settings-General-restrictions and make sure the deleting of apps is enabled.
Claire says
How do you get the things back that you have taken off the iPad Mini?
A. sledge says
After the icons begin to wiggle, there is NO X that appears on corner of the icon.
Is the process of removing stuff on the iPad “mini” different from a full size iPad ?
Is the process different depending on the age of the mini iPad ?
I’m frustrated about NOT being able to remove apps, etc.
There must be another method. Three of my friends are also not able to delete anything.
HELP please !
Eric says
For those who are having trouble uninstalling apps from the iPad mini, got to SETTING, RESTRICTIONS, & make sure you enable “deleting apps”. Then you tap & hold the app u wish to uninstall & there will be a little “x”. This will work and the app will be deleted..

Check out ERIC on December 18th. It works,!!! Yeah, Eric!
gilbert says
what if a app don’t have that “x”, how do you remove it then??
Alex says
If you don’t have an x that usually means you have Restrictions switched on which prevents you deleting apps in this manner.
simply go to settings and restrictions and switch on this function. the reason for having this ability is to prevent children accidently deleting all their games etc hence why you would enable the restriction in the first place.
