How to Change PSN ID Online Username

This tutorial we’ll go through the steps on how to change your PSN online ID name using a web browser.

1. Launch a web browser and head over to PlayStation Network website and sign into your PSN account.
2. Click on ‘PSN Profile’ from the left side menu.
3. Click on ‘Edit’ next to your current Online ID name.
4. Type in the username you want and click on the ‘Check Availability ‘ button. You can also choose one of the following randomly generated PSN ID username.
5. Changing your PSN gamertag is free for the first time. It will cost you $10 for name changes afterwards. PS Plus members can change their PSN ID name for $5.

You can also do this directly from the PS4. Go to ‘Settings -> Account Management -> Account Information -> Profile -> Online ID.
