Do you have a blog running on WordPress software? Need a premium backup solution? If you’re looking for a backup solution that backs up your database and WordPress files (core files, themes, plugin, etc) you need to check out VaultPress.
VaultPress is being developed by the same team that built and maintain WordPress.com so you know integration with WordPress will be top-notch.
Vaultpress is currently in beta so you need to sign up for a special link. This service is not free unfortunately, the backup plugin will set you back $15 (beta price) a month for basic.
How to backup WordPress blog using VaultPress:
1. Sign up to get your special link from VaultPress.
2. When you get your “Golden Ticket” select your plan.
3. Fill in all your information.
4. They warn you about the subscription charge, confirm and press “Sign up at $15/mo”.
4. Create or enter your WordPress.com account. Once you do you’ll be downloading the Vaultpress plugin.
5. Now its time to upload the plugin to our web server. I did it in the WordPress Dashboard within my website by clicking “Add New” in the Plugins section. Click “Upload” then “Choose File”, locate the vaultpress.zip file (leave it zipped) and hit “Install Now”.
6. Activate the plugin. When the plugin is activated the backup begins automatically you’ll get a link to view the progress.
7. Backing up for the first may take a few hours so hang tight. To view your back up go to https://dashboard.vaultpress.com/ or click on the VaultPress link just underneath the Dashboard link.
Sleep like a baby knowing your WordPress website is fully backed up.
