For those looking to buy a new computer very soon but want to wait till Windows 7 comes pre-installed there’s good news. Microsoft has just announced that people who buy a new computer (Vista Home Premium) starting today will get a a free upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium when it comes out Oct. 22.
For those who already own Vista or XP you can upgrade your system to Windows 7 Home Premium for 50 bucks or 100 bucks for Windows 7 Professional, no deal for the Ultimate version, and this deal is only a limited time offer.
Pre-ordering starts this Friday, June 26 2009 and should be up soon at http://store.microsoft.com/home.aspx and most major retailers. Remember this discount is only for a limited time. This will be a perfect time to upgrade at half the cost of what Microsoft normally charges.
