“How much will the PSP Go cost when it comes out?”

Sony has just announced the price of the new PSP Go at their E3 conference, the new PSP Go will cost 249 dollars in North America and Europe when it launches Oct. 1 2009. The redesign slides underneath to reveal the controls with the usual PSP buttons.

Some key feature of the PSP Go:

  • Its 50 percent smaller in size and 40 percent lighter in weight
  • there will be 16 GB built in
  • integrated Bluetooth
  • no UMD drive
  • download games and movies with built in WiFi

The PSP-3000 will still exist along side the new PSP Go so UMD is not entirely dead, but who knows how long that’s gonna last.

Update: For those people asking when they and where can they buy the new PSP Go Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the PSP GO, for $249.99 you can reserve a PSP Go and it’s available in two colours black and white. Check out the deal below.

    No UMD, comes with 16 GB built in. So anyone who buys one should have access to WIFI. That’s the only way you’re gonna get games or any kind of content onto the PSP Go.

    I bet the games won’t be in the best of quality since they r downloaded!!!!! Psp go is cool but kinda like iPod touch/iPhone, I have an iPod touch, and the games aren’t really the same as a reg gaming console, but I don’t have a psp so idk if I’m rite!!!!

    You can also download the games connecting the USB into your computer if you dont have wi-fi

    im only 12 years old and if u want my oppinion i think a psp go would be awesome but a little small. im going to get one with my birthday money!!!!!!!!!!!!!
