You will need import your music into iTunes library. If it’s your first time using iTunes the setup assistant can transfer your music for you. Select the option to have iTunes find songs on your computer. When that’s done you can view all your music in the Library.
You can also manually add music files from your computer into iTunes by click and dragging the music file or music folder into the Library window. Hold down the “Shift” key to select multiple music files fast. You can also add playlists by locating the play-lists file and with iTunes open select “File” menu and select “Import”.
Another way is to Open iTunes then go to File menu -> Add to Library now find the songs you want to add remember to hold down the SHIFT key for importing multiple songs.
