When I start my computer I have lots of icons on the bottom bar on the right hand side near the clock. A lot these programs I don’t even need or use so how can I disable these programs from starting up.
You are right wanting to stop programs from start up especially programs you no longer use. By disabling some start up programs your computer will boot faster also cause there is less things for the computer to do during start up.
Here’s how to disable start up programs on XP
- Click “Start” now “Run”
- Inside the “Run” dialog box type in “msconfig”
- Now find the “Start up” tab and click on it
- Now you can disable all the programs from start or select certain ones, it’s usually a good idea to leave any antivirus or any security programs on start up.
