“My laptop is always telling me I have a security problem it keeps popping up messages and warnings. I have McAfee installed and it didn’t detect any viruses or malware. Strange security pop ups keeps appearing on my computer and directs me to different free virus scanners from websites. One day I got a message from Windows saying it has found a trojan and so I clicked on the option to remove all but it said I have no problems. Do I have some kind of virus trojan on my computer or is it just a fake security alert?”
Unfortunately it sounds like your computer may be infected with some type of malware. When you do the free scan it will basically tell you that there’s a virus on your computer and you should buy their special “anit-virus removal” program to safely remove it. The anti-virus program which is most likely written by the virus creator which doesn’t work at all and you’re screwed out of your money. Never buy anything from them.
