“How do I download apps to my Android smartwatch?”
Currently you can’t download apps directly from your smartwatch. Although this can change with future software updates. Android Wear, the Google powered smartwatch operating system is still in it’s early stages of development.
To download apps to your Android smartwatch you’ll need to download compatible Android Wear apps through your Android phone.
How do I finds compatible apps?
Here is one way to find apps for your smartwatch:
1. On your Android phone launch the Android Wear app. You should already have this app on your phone, it’s the app you used to sync up with the smartwatch.
2. From the main screen of the app, scroll down to ‘Browse compatible apps’.
4. Here you can see many (but not all) popular apps that are Android Wear compatible. Download apps to your phone and the apps should automatically be pushed to your smartwatch.
Many apps on your smartwatch can be in found in your ‘Start’ menu from the watch. Get there by tapping on the screen to wake up the watch. Tap it again, scroll down and tap ‘Start’. Although some apps can be found here, not all apps will shown. Some apps sends alerts directly through your phone so they don’t have a launchable app on the smartwatch.
