“How do I turn off Netflix previews from playing automatically? They’re loud and obnoxious. “
Do you hate the Netflix’s auto-preview as much as I do? Every time I browse through Netflix it’s like I’m playing beat the clock. I try to browse through the movies as fast as I can before the preview starts. It’s a risky game and can be quit stressful. I’m done! Done I tell ya!
But wait did you know that you can shut off Netflix’s auto-preview? Yes you can and in this video I’ll go through the steps on how to stop the video previews from auto playing. You only have disable the auto playback once and it will be stopped across all devices.
In this video I’m doing it on my computer web browser but you can also do it the mobile app such iPhone and Android. The mobile app basically just redirects you to your web browser where you can change the playback settings.
Stop Netflix Auto-Preview (desktop web browser):
1. Log into your Netflix account.
2. Click on the ‘Profile’ icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
3. From the drop-down menu select ‘Manage Profiles’.
4. Click on the user profile. (You’ll want to do this to each profile if you want auto playback to be disabled across all accounts.)
5. On the Edit Profile page scroll down to Autoplay Controls. Uncheck ‘Autoplay previews while browsing on all devices’.
6. Click ‘Save’ to finish.
Now just head back to Netflix and begin browsing. Auto-preview should now be disabled so browse freely without stress of beating the clock.
