Clearing Google Search history is a pretty simple task but is a little bit different depending on which web browser you are using. Google doesn’t store your search history it’s the web browser that stores it and remembers it for easy and fast access.
Clear your Google search history in Internet Explorer
- Head over to “Tool” on the menu and click on it
- Select “Delete Browser History”
- From the pop up window you can choose to delete search history, cookies, form data, passwords and temporary internet files
- Click on “Delete History” or “Delete All” at the very bottom, and hit “Close” to exit
Clearing Google Search history in Firefox
- Head over to the Tools menu
- Select “Clear Private Data”
- Now from the popup window make sure everything you want cleared is checked including “Browsing History” and click on “Clear Private Data Now”
- To keep Firefox from remembering your search history than go to Tools > Options >Privacy and un check “Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar”
Removing history in Safari
- Select “Preferences” from the Safari menu
- Select Autofill from the popup menus
- Head over to Other forms line and choose the “Edit” button
- You should see a list of websites which Autofill is being used, choose Google.com, Remove and Done
