“Will I be able to play my old PS3 games on the PS4?”
Sony has officially announced that the Playstation 4 will not be able to play PS3 games natively right out-of-the-box. But Sony did say they are looking into “advanced technologies” for the PS4 to be backwards compatible with PS3 games.
Sony recently acquired Gaikai, which will provide the PS4 the technology to stream video games using the cloud. We could see Sony using this cloud technology to give backwards compatibility so gamers can play PS3 games on the PS4.
