Why is my computer so slow

My computer is running so slow right now, can you let me know what slows down a computer and how to fix or prevent it. Why is my computer so damn slow!
Spyware and adware and viruses are a common cause for sudden loss of computer speed. Do regular virus and spyware scans. Check out How to protect computer for free for some handy tips.
Windows also naturally gets slower over time as well. The hard drive get filled with all sorts of program and junk we’ve installed over time and we forget they’re there. Use a clean program like CCleaner to remove any unwanted programs for the hard drive. Another thing you can also do is defragment your hard drive. Here are some tips on how to make your computer faster.
You may be a power user and like to have multiple programs opened at the same time if that’s the case then you may need to get more memory (ram) for your computer.
You may also consider formating the drive and reinstalling Windows. This will take your computer back to the state like you first bought it. This will erase all your files and programs so make sure you back up your important files.
