Which one is better the DS or PSP and why?
I own both the DS and PSP and I can honestly say they’re both pretty awesome in it’s unique way. The Nintendo DS got it’s touch screen which is very intuitive and just about every game on the DS uses the DS touch screen capability which makes gaming much more interactive and fun for all ages not just kids. There are a lot more variety of games for the DS than on the PSP. There are educational games like the popular Brain Age series and there really fun adventure games like Zelda and Mario games. The only thing about the DS you should be aware of is the cheap plastic that seem to break very easily around the hinges. Nintendo is aware of the problem and will usually fix it for free if it’s still under warranty. Check out my broken DS.
The PSP is more like a portable all in one media machine than just a gaming device and that is why you can’t really compare the two. It’s sleek, powerful, with a pretty 16X9 wide screen. The PSP can play music, store photos, play videos, browse the internet and it can also play games. Graphics on the PSP are almost like Playstation 2 quality. And if you like hacking stuff than the PSP will definitely keep occupied with a huge underground hacking community helping to make your PSP do just about anything.
If I only wanted to play video games than the Nintendo DS would be my first choice but if I wanted to do more than just play games than the PSP would win hands down.

I own both, and I agree the PSP is way better. I listen to music at the bus stop every day, while my DS sits on my desk.
