The cookies folder in Vista is very well hidden and will take a little bit of digging but here is how to find the folder in Vista where the cookies are stored:
- Click on the “Start” button
- At the top select your “User” name to get into the user group
- Click the “Organize” button and select “Folder and search options” and click the “View” tab and choose “Show hidden files and folders” and also uncheck “Hide protected operating system files”, select “Yes” to confirm “OK” to exit
- Now there will be more folders in your User window, find the one named “AppData” and click to open the folder
- Inside the AppData folder select “Roaming -> Microsoft -> Windows” and your cookies folder should be right at the top, click on it
- You can see all the cookies that different sites are putting on your computer and delete them if you wish. You may see a Low folder in there as well, this is where cookies are kept from websites you have some low user privileges.

i FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER. i AM ALLOWING HIDDEN SYSTEM FILES AND AM IN THE DIRECTORY AS NAMED BUT MY COOKIES FOLDER IS NOT THERE – I TRULY HATE VISTA,
I found the folder, but I need to know how to allow cookies. My facebook says I don’t allow cookies even though I think it is allowing them???????????????????????
I connot reach yahoo.com on my computer anytime I tried to sign in. I received a message. The browser you’re using refuses to sign in ( cookies rejected) I need to know what I can do to make cookies enable.
Brilliant ! Power to the Internet!!!
Great Explaination! On the last bit, some cookies are not in the cookie file but in the low file right next to the cookie file. Makes sence right? That’s windows for you!
How or where can i find pinch punch or something similar for playing about with photographs
didnt work, there was no cookies folder.
I’m having the same problem as the others: I followed the directions, AppData, Roaming, Microsoft, Windows & there are seven items listed, not one of them being cookies. I’m w/Jean. I’m exasperated w/stupid Vista.

VERY clear instructions. I’m really happy I found your site. Worked right away.

Good luck.
Gary
