What video card do I have

If you are not too sure what video card is inside your computer here is a quick way to find out. We will go into the Device Manager to see which video card is inside the PC.

Checking Video Card for Windows XP

  • Right click on “My Computers” on your Desktop
  • Scroll down and select “Properties”
  • Select the “Hardware” tab
  • Click the “Device Manager” button
  • Click on the little plus ( + ) sign next to “Display Adapter”
  • Now you should see your current graphics card

Finding the Video Card in Windows Vista

  • Click “Start” (Windows logo)
  • Select the “Control Panel”
  • Click on “System and Maintenance”
  • Choose “System”
  • Select “Device Manager”
  • Click on the “+” symbol beside the Display Adapters, you should now see your video card
