Mounting ISO image with Daemon Tools

March 26, 2008

I’ve been getting a few emails on how to mount ISO files so I created this video here the quality isn’t great but I think it does the job. I will be adding more video tutorials in the future cause they are fun to make. There is no audio so don’t bother turning your volume up.

Here’s a summary to opening any ISO file with Daemon Tools:

  • After downloading Daemon Tools, right click on the red icon on the task bar
  • Go to “Virtual CD/DVD-Rom” now hover your mouse over “Device0:[X] Empty” then “Mount Image”
  • Browse the ISO file, I’m mounting a Ubuntu ISO file in this video, after selecting the ISO file click “Open” to proceed
  • Now you should have the ISO mounted in the video you can see the Ubuntu ISO image mounted
  • After you finish with the ISO file unmount the image by right clicking the Daemon icon > Virtual CD/DVD-Rom > Device0 > Unmount Image
  • Topics: How to, Videos |
