I just reinstalled iTunes on my computer and everything works good except my podcast won’t sync with my iPod touch for some reason. My music, and videos sync just fine just not my podcasts, what can I do when iTunes doesn’t sync up my podcasts?”
It’s most likely a setting issue in your iTunes, I think by default iTunes doesn’t sync podcasts out of the box. Here’s the first thing to check:
1. Open up iTunes and plug in your iPod touch.
2. Click on your account name in iTunes.

3. You will see a number of different tabs here, click on the Podcast tab. Click on the box next to “Sync” to check mark it. A dialog box will appear asking “Are you sure you want to sync podcasts, blah blah blah.”, click the “Sync Podcasts” button. You have a whole whack of different choices on how many podcast you want to sync from the drop down menu. You can even pick and choose specific podcast to sync up as well.

4. When finished press the “Sync” button on the bottom and your podcasts in iTunes should now be in sync and in perfect harmony with your iPod touch.

THANK YOU! Something that was obvious and so “in my face” that I couldn’t see it. Thanks for pointing out the obvious so I could fix my issue!
Same here! I am so focused on “Sync” at the bottom of the screen that I didn’t see the Sync box at the top til I read this three times!
So awesome to sync the darn thing up and go on w/ my life.

Same goes for me – just missed this completely. Thanks for the help.
Thanks a bunch; it seemed fairly obvious when I actually checked but if it wasn’t for this tip I wouldn’t have remembered the “Sync” button.
Thanks, it was so obvious though it somehow missed my eye.
I’ve been on five support websites, read a lot of complaining and suggestions of how to fix the problem but they neither worked nor were they explained in the easy to understand format you provided. Thank you so much for helping me solve this problem. As a new Mac user, I truly appreciate it!

Thanx a lot! I lost al my podcasts once… not any more… Happy to ve a bacup now..
Hey, my ipod shows sync all and I am still missing podcasts. Help! They download correctly and I see them but after I sync my ipod then don’t show up. I’ve tried unsubscribing to the podcasts (only have problems with 3 of them) and then still don’t show up on the ipod. I searched on net and found someone who said go to the Advanced tab and ‘convert them to a ipod version’. I did and now I see them in ‘movies’?? but if I want to sync them to my ipod it says I will lose my music???? Gawd, why is this sooooo difficult? Can you help in anyway? Thanks………..
Thank You. Computer had crashed and seems like re-installing apps and getting all the data back and working the same is a pain. Then i-tunes just doesn’t sync podcasts on the reinstall. Agree with prior posts – sometimes you overlook a simple fix. Thanks.
