This guide will show you how to uninstall AVG 8 Free edition. Lets’ begin.
Download Free AVG. When it’s finished downloading we can click on the file to start.
You will get a “Welcome” dialog box, click “Next”
Next, is the Acceptance notice screen, click “Accept”
Click “Accept” again at the License Agreement Window
Now AVG will scan your existing AVG install then give you a few options.
- Add or remove components – Select components to install or uninstall
- Repair installation – Repairs installed components, replacing missing or damaged files and registry data
- Uninstall product – Removes AVG Free from your computer
Click on the last option which is “Uninstall product” and click “Next” to proceed.
Now you will see a “Uninstall AVG Free” window saying this program removes AVG free from you computer. Great that’s what we want. Select “Remove user settings” and “Including objects in the Virus Vault” and click the “Yes” button.
If you have a browser open at this time it will prompt you to close it.
Now AVG will be begin the “Uninstalling” this takes several minutes.
And that’s it AVG has now been removed and now we need to restart the computer to finish the removal process.

Tried it – didn’t work. Tried doing the REGEDIT trick and that didn’t work. Tried using ‘repair’ and that didn’t work. I’ve spent about 4 hours on this now and I’m going mad.
dowload avg remover on : http://www.avg.com/download-tools
save on desktop, right click on the icon and then click run!

i used free avg antivirus and try to remove from my system but i can”t remove fully some file still existing how can i remove fully avg from my system i am using vista
been doing the same instruction u had given but not working on me my avg cant be uninstalled in my pc and its making me frustrated help me out
Try to download AVG uninstaller,,it works w/ my AVG 8.5i free….completely remove…
