How to uninstall a program

November 26, 2007

A common way to save a little hard drive space is to uninstall applications you no longer use. This is how you can easily remove unwanted programs in Windows. I am using Vista right now, but XP is pretty much the same process.

  • Go to “Start”
  • Click on Control Panel
  • If you are under Control Panel View click on “Uninstall a program” under Programs. If you are in Classic View, click on “Programs and Features”
  • Select the program to uninstall by clicking on it once and press “Uninstall” or “Uninstall/Change” depending on the program. You may need to enter your administrator password to continue.
