How to turn off Vista startup sound

Is the Vista startup sound file starting to drive you mad. Here is how you can disable the Vista startup sound clip.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. In the search field type in “Sound” without quotes
  3. Click on “Sound” from the results
  4. A dialog box will appear. Click on the “Sounds” tab at the top
  5. Near the bottom there is a option to “Play Windows Startup sound” make sure to uncheck this option to turn off start up sound
  6. Click “OK” and you are finished.

    Yah…I found it very useful, let us know about the win32 error also. B’coz sound device also effected by it.
