“How do I register my Kindle Fire?”
There are two ways you can register your Kindle Fire, online using your computer or directly from the device (connected via Wi-Fi).
How to register the Kindle Fire online:
- Head over to Manage Your Kindle webpage.
- Select ‘Manage Your Devices’.
- You’ll need to enter the 16-digit serial number of your Kindle Fire. (Don’t know your serial number? Instructions at the end of this post.)
- Now click the ‘Register’ button to complete the process.
How to register directly from the Kindle Fire:
- Make sure your Kindle Fire is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi. Tap the ‘Quick Settings’ icon.
- Select the ‘More’ icon.
- Select ‘My Account’.
- Hit the ‘Register’ button and enter your Amazon email address and password. If you don’t have an Amazon account you can create one from the device or from your computer.
- Hit the ‘Register’ button to complete the process.
How to find your Kinde Fire serial number:
- Select the ‘Quick Settings’ icon.
- Now ‘Device’ to view your Kindle Fire serial number.

I am so lost. I have been reading all the reviews of the new fire kindel and I bought one. Now, I am having the hardest time getting it registered. I do not have Wi-fi at home. I went to where Wi-Fi was and it would not register. Any suggestions?
I can not get my wi-fi to unlock. It shows I have excellant signal strength, I go in put in the password for the router..it will not unlock or connect to the wifi.
