“How do I connect my Kindle Fire to WiFi or a hotspot?”
How to connect to Wi-Fi with the Kindle Fire:
- Select ‘Quick Settings’ icon from the home screen.
- Choose Wi-Fi.
- Make sure Wireless Network is switched on.
- You should see a list of available networks. Give it a few seconds to detect your wireless network. You may need to refresh it by turning ‘Wireless Network’ off and back on.
- Select the network you wish to join.
- If there is a lock symbol next to your network, you will need the password for that particular wireless network.
- Enter the password and tap ‘Connect’.
- Once you have successfully connected to your network, the Kindle Fire will automatically connect to it again whenever you are within range.

I am attempting to connect to an unsecured website I have previously accessed. The site requires a username & password that changes (controlled access but not secure). My Fire won’t log on saying the password I supplied is incorrect but I can’t find a way to access the username/password screen. How do I change the username & password for an unsecured site on my Kindle Fire?
need help to reset wi on kindle fire
I have a office near my residence and have 2 routers for each location with the same settings. I can get the kindle to work on the office router but when I take it into the house I can still bring up a connection but I get a x by the wifi on top. I have tried to shut down the wifi connection and bring it back up to make sure it finds the new router, but it still shows the x.?
I have the same problem. My Kindle works with other wifi, but not at home though my home wifi is working perfectly for computer and cell phones.
