How to change desktop background

Here’s how to change desktop background picture in Vista.

  1. Right click anywhere on the desktop
  2. Scroll down and left click on “Personalize”
  3. Click on “Desktop Background”
  4. You can select from a number of Vista Wallpapers or you own images by selecting the appropriate folder
  5. You can also choose how you would like the image positioned, Fit to Screen, Tile, or Centered
  6. Click “OK” to change Vista background

Here’s how to change desktop background picture in XP.

  1. Right click anywhere once on the desktop
  2. Scroll down to “Properties” and left click on it
  3. The Display Properties will appear, select the “Desktop” tab at the top of the dialog box
  4. There is a list of available wallpaper, you can use your own images by clicking on the “Browse” button
  5. You will see a preview of the image in the computer monitor in the Dialog Box, press “OK” to change Windows wallpaper
