I really don’t know much about Wifi but I would like to connect my Ipod Touch to the internet. What do I need? Can I connect to Wifi without a password?
In order to connect to wireless “hotspot” you will need to find a Wifi that is open which basically means one that isn’t password protected. Usually coffee shops, fast food restaurants or perhaps your neighbors will leave their wireless access point open for use. You will not be able to access a wireless connection that is password protected, that is why the owner of that network setup a password for their connection it’s to keep other people from using the connection. Connecting to a wireless hot spot that isn’t “Public” is illegal in most states.
Get yourself a wireless router for you Ipod Touch, wireless routers are very inexpensive these days. Set up your own password on the router and configure your Ipod Touch to connect to that network. The Ipod Touch should see your network and than just enter your password for the router and you should be online.

I have a ipod touch and want to connect to my secure router I use on my computer. I have not been able to connect my ipod! I need a step by step instruction. ipod instruction online manual is poor and does not explain how to do this. I see no request for a password/pass phrase.

i have a wireless router but i didnt set it up for my computer and my ipod catches the network but always asks me for the password that i dont know so what do i do?

I have a router but i haven’t set up a password. does it say a password on the bottom of the router. it says my mom’s name which isnt the network. i have belkin and it says my moms name as the network not belkin. i have tried it a million times!!!!!!!!! but it still won’t work

ok buy a router and hook it up to ur modem on ur computer then access it with a laptop or apple product like the ipod touch
