Computer volume doesn’t work

June 10, 2008

Alright here’s the deal. I own a Dell computer with Xp, the volume on the computer stopped working about 10 days ago. When I turn the volume up full blast I can hear a little bit of sound but when I use my earphones it seems to work fine. Did I blow my speakers? How can I get my volume working again?

It does sound like your speakers are blown but before we jump to that conclusion check and make sure there are no loose wire connections. Check the back of the computer and make sure the speaker plug is all the way in and trace the wires up to the speaker to make sure everything is in the right order. Be sure the volume is turned down though because you don’t want to really blow your speakers when you fix the speaker connections.
