Cheap hdmi cables

May 14, 2008

I’ve been shopping around HDMI cables and noticed the huge price difference in many stores. Best Buy had HDMI cables for over 100.00 dollars, Gamestop had some for 55.00 dollars, and Amazon is selling HDMI cables for under 10.00 bucks. Why is there such a huge price gap?

So why do places like Bestbuy and other places sell HDMI cables for ten times more than other places? Because they can. People actually buy these cables at these outrages prices. If you are in the market for HDMI cables buy the cheapest ones you can find. For anything less then 10 feet you do not need expensive 100 dollars Monster HDMI cables, cheaper ones will all give you the same quality output. But if need to run longer distance cable then quality will make a difference, so spend a little extra if you need the distance but don’t go crazy.

I buy my HDMI cables from Monoprice, they have awesome deals. I bought a 3 ft HDMI cable for 3 bucks.
