Change icon size in Vista

November 9, 2007

One of the first thing I noticed when I first installed Windows Vista was the large desktop icons taking up precious desktop space. I like to decrease the size of my icons to maximize my desktop space.

There are several ways you can change icon size in Vista on the desktop. The easiest way is to right click on the desktop select “View” and choose “Classic Icons” or “Medium Icons” or “Large Icons”.

Another way to change icon size is hold the “Ctrl” button and scroll up or down on the mouse wheel.
