Anything better than Free AVG
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008I have been using the free version of AVG antivirus for about 2 years now and it’s been pretty good. I was using 7.5 and then the free Version 8 of AVG. I am pretty satisfied using AVG but will be willing to change if there is a better and more effective free antivirus program out there. It’s for my personal laptop running XP. I don’t do anything risky online like going to porn sites or anything like that just plain sites many other people go to.

Sunday, April 27th, 2008I am currently on a limited budget and do not want to spend money on virus protection programs. My computer came with Norton anti-virus to use for free but the trial is about to run out and I do not want to spend money to renew it. I currently run Windows Vista and would like a list of the best free antivirus protection for download, thanks.
Virus pop up warning
Tuesday, April 15th, 2008I keep getting a virus warning pop up on my computer that tells me I have a virus. Every time I click it tells me to buy some anti-virus program to get rid of the virus. I tried scanning my computer with AVG but that didn’t help. Please advise this is getting real annoying.

What is a rootkit

The main goal a rootkit is to hide itself and hide what its doing so that no one will ever know that its there. Once a rootkit gets in a system it is very difficult to find it, it’s whole point is to hide itself. A rootkit is able to intercept processes that the operating system performing.
